The 2024 Paris Olympics are well underway with Great Britain bagging several medals so far including their first gold of the games.
Ros Canter, Laura Collett, and Tom McEwen nabbed Team GB’s first gold in Monday’s final showjumping stage at Chateau de Versailles.
When asked how she felt following the win, Collett told BBC Sport: ‘On top of the world. I have never, ever ridden into an atmosphere like that. Luckily, London is one trusty partner, so are my team.
‘There are no words to describe the atmosphere, all three days. I didn’t think anything would top the cross country, it was unreal.’
But it’s not just the athletes causing a stir at this year’s games, with a number of A-list celebs among the crowds.
Wicked stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo were spotted at the Artistic Gymnastics Women’s Qualification on day two of the prestigious event.
The stars, who will appear as Glinda and Elphaba in the musical adaptation, were seen cosying up to Vogue editor Anna Wintour and Elvis director Baz Luhrmann who were also among the celebrity attendees.
For the gymnastics event, they were seen alongside pop sensation Ariana’s brother Frankie Grande – who was recently forced to defend his sister against bizarre cannibalism rumours.
Ariana and Cynthia also attended the opening ceremony, channelling their Wicked characters with Harriet star Cynthia donning a dark green gown and The Boy Is Mine hitmaker Ariana wearing a pastel pink dress.
They were joined by the likes of Tom Cruise, Greta Gerwig, and David Zaslav at the gymnastics event which saw Simone Biles eye up yet another Olympic medal.
Lady Gaga, who performed during the Olympic opening ceremony, was also spotted among the crowd alongside torchbearer Snoop Dogg.
Chrissy Teigen and husband John Legend attended alongside two of their four children.
The family were spotted chatting to pop sensation Nick Jonas. Jessica Chastain was also seen with her children at the star-studded event.
Elsewhere, Mick Jagger was seen with his eight-year-old son Deveraux during the fencing competitions on Saturday.
The Rolling Stones singer, who turned 81 on Friday, welcomed Deveraux in December 2016 with partner Melanie Hamrick, 37.
Strictly Come Dancing professional Katya Jones posed alongside Adam Peaty’s girlfriend Holly Ramsay, who cheered the swimmer on as he grabbed the silver medal.
Nicole Kidman and her husband Keith Urban were pictured attending the women’s street skateboarding final on Sunday, while Queen Latifah was seen at the group stage basketball match between Serbia and USA.
The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev accompanied partner and Olympic gold medalist Shaun White to the starry women’s gymnastics qualifying round.
After competing in five Winter Games over the years, Shaun retired from sports in 2022.
Several stars were also spotted at the opening ceremony, including Serena Williams, Alan Cumming, Zac Efron, and Jeremy Allen-White.
