Assam: Ahom dynasty's Mound-burial system included in UNESCO World Heritage List

Assam's ancient mound-burial system, 'Moidams', has secured a spot on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The decision, announced during the 46th session of the World Heritage Committee in India, marks the first cultural property from the Northeast to receive this prestigious recognition. Assam CM Himant Biswa Sarma expressed gratitude to PM Modi, UNESCO, and the people of Assam for their support in achieving this milestone.
