Season 5 has arrived to Call of Duty: Warzone, and the big update includes new weapons and attachments that are already shaking up the meta. You'll likely want to adjust your loadouts, so here are some recommended weapon builds you can try for your next match of Warzone. You can find recommended loadouts for MW3 multiplayer here.
The Season 5 battle pass includes two weapons in the free tiers of the pass. The Static-HV submachine gun is unlocked in Sector 6 and the STG44 assault rifle is earned from Sector 7.
The Quartermaster Suppressor and Paracord Grip are the two new attachments. These are a bit trickier to find and unlock, but here's our full guide on the benefits of these attachments and how to unlock them.
Season 5's new STG44 assault rifle is one of the best long-range options across all maps and modes of Warzone. The weapon does have a bit of recoil, but the recommended attachments help reduce much of the kick, turning this into a very precise and easy-to-handle assault rifle for medium- to long-range fights.
Previously, the Bal-27 didn't perform well enough to stack against other weapons of its class, but it received a huge buff in Season 5 to reduce the weapon's recoil. This build gives you an increase to bullet velocity and damage range, boosts the ammo count, as well as makes the gun much easier to handle. I wouldn't recommend this for long-range fights across Urzikstan, but this can be a solid choice for the Resurgence maps.
Despite the recent nerf, the Holger 26 is still the best long-range light machine gun option for Warzone. However, you'll want to use a build with Season 5's new attachments to help give you more control and precision at longer-ranges.
Season 5's new Static-HV submachine gun is one of the best options for close-range fights, especially in Warzone's Resurgence modes. The Static-HV boasts the fastest time-to-kill of its class, and the recommended attachments help boost the range and velocity.
Another great close-range option is the Superi 46 submachine gun. This gun did receive a nerf at the end of last season, but it only slightly affected the movement. The recommended attachments will help boost the bullet velocity and range, as well as adding some faster movement speed, ADS speed, and sprint-to-fire speed.
The MCW assault rifle is a great weapon to use as sniper support. This build uses the JAK Raven Kit to convert this gun into a powerful SMG for close- to mid-range engagements, and the recommended attachments will help manage the recoil and improve mobility. If you prefer to have an optic, swap the barrel for something like the JAK Glassless Optic sight.
The Kar98k received a nerf to damage range and bullet velocity, and while it's still the best sniper for Resurgence, you'll want to make sure you're using the attachments that help boost the range and bullet velocity. For long-range fights across Urzikstan for standard BR, you'll likely want to equip the MORS sniper rifle instead.
Season 4's Reclaimer 18 shotgun still isn't the most popular choice for battle royale, but a buff at the start of Season 5 makes it much more viable if you're a shotgun lover. These attachments should give you a two-shot kill.
