Carrie Bradshaw Dates Mr. Bean? All the Hilarious Fake “And Just Like That...” Filming Notices Popping Up Around NYC

Brooklyn-based writer and artist Kat Thek is bringing a smile to the faces of 'Sex and the City' fans with her out-of-the-box ideas

Filming for the third season of Max’s And Just Like That… is currently underway in New York City, with the cast and crew of the Sex and the City sequel series taking over the streets of the Big Apple to tell the continuing story of Carrie Bradshaw and friends.

But while locals might by looking for Sarah Jessica Parker after their streets postered with signs alerting them for street closures and upcoming filming dates, not everything is to believed.

Since July 20, fans have been spotting filming notices posted around the city that appear to give away plot points for season 3, each more unbelievable than the last.

"Project details: Carrie goes on a bad date with Mr. Bean (the character) and then accidentally sends him a nude," read one sign, shared to X (formerly known as Twitter).

"After getting hit by a CitiBike, Carrie retains Fletcher Reese (Jim Carrey) from Liar, Liar as her lawyer," read another in the same post.

"At brunch with the girls, Carrie reveals that she is Garfield the cat," a third sign in the thread noted.

Don't go getting your hopes up for Rowan Atkinson cameo next season just yet. The notices are clearly fake — though they look so similar to the real ones distributed by the New York City Media and Entertainment Office that even Commissioner Pat Swinney Kaufman teased to PEOPLE that she "can neither confirm nor deny that Garfield, Mr. Bean and Fletcher Reede were named as characters on any permits issued by this office.”

“The NYC Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment is proud to support our city’s world famous film and TV industry by permitting all filming done on NYC public property," Kaufman added, noting that the office issued "614 permits in the month of June alone."

So who exactly is behind these? All are attributed to the mysterious "Next Tuesday Productions."

The group, which dated all these signs for Tuesday, July 23, have also been responsible for circulating similar parody releases for an "Untitled King of Queens Reboot" in which "Doug (Kevin James) dies when Queen Elizabeth dies because of an Elliott/E.T. kind of thing.”

Brooklyn photographer Christina Casillo spotted the And Just Like That... signs, sharing photos of the first three posts to X. Not long after, users began responding with their own catches, the thread amassing over 2 million views.

Even Cynthia Nixon spotted the signs, sharing photos of two of them on her Instagram Stories with a series of laughing emoji.

Turns out, all of this is the brainchild of Brooklyn-based writer Kat Thek, who has built a name for herself over for creating a slew of other public art projects.

She hung more than 100 multicolored fliers in various NYC locals locations — "especially along the Sex and the City tour route" — in places like the West Village, Gramercy Park, Clinton Hill, Lower Manhattan and more. She described the descriptions on her website as "often fever dream sequences within the Sex and the City universe."

“I was sort of surprised that it became a hunt,” she told The New York Times, adding that she made the posters in Google Slides first as “a little treat” for herself.

Said Thek, 37: “It’s almost like how Marvel has their cinematic universe? I feel like this is my Sex and the City cinematic universe. Anything could happen."

That's an understatement! Thek's imagination created a wide range of scenarios. Posters shared on her page and in The New York Times include:

• Carrie buys a severed horse head so she can “Do a Godfathers."
• Science lab montage of Carrie attempting to bring a clone of herself to life. The clone wakes and instinctually devours Carrie, who offers herself willingly. 
• Carrie calls 911 after finding out that sharks have an infinite number of teeth.
• Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda hop into a cab but it flies away like at the end of Grease and we never see them again.
  
• Carrie uses an incognito window to get past the paywall of a popular news site and Miranda is a real snob about it.
• Carrie can’t prove it but she thinks her dentist is switching out her teeth.
• Steve asks his friend Howard the Duck for help with the ladies. 
• Carrie starts a GoFundMe to get "The World’s Sickest Count Chocula Tattoo."
  
• Carrie goes on a date with the Pope and the Pope is played by the actual Pope. 
  
• Carrie buys a "Halloween Tree," which is a ceramic Christmas Tree but for Halloween. 
• Carrie accepts the Democratic Nomination for president and vice president. 
• Charlotte becomes a juggalo.
• After winning a trip to the Crayola Factory, Carrie falls into a huge vat of boiling wax and does a thumbs up as she sinks (like in Terminator 2: Judgement Day).
• Carrie refuses to comply with the new trash can rules and is sent to jail, for life? 
  
• Carrie wonders what it would be like to have sex with Gaston from Beauty and the Beast.

It's no telling how the folks at And Just Like That… feel. Reps for the series did not respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.

Not much is known about what actually will be happening in season 3. Parker, Nixon and Kristin Davis are set to return to the spinoff along with costars Nicole Ari Parker, Sarita Choudhury, Katerina Tannenbaum and Mario Cantone.

John Corbett, who plays Carrie’s love interest Aiden Shaw, is also slated to return. He was spotted holding hands with Parker while filming on-site in New York July 22.

"There will be layers and complexities and complications as there always are — especially in Carrie's life," teased Parker, 59, about the plot during her appearance on Today with Hoda & Jenna back in May.
