Charaideo's Maidams represent pride & self respect of Assamese: Union minister Sarbananda Sonowal

The declaration honors the valor of the Ahom kings and the cultural pride of the Assamese people. Sonowal, during his tenure as Chief Minister of Assam, played a crucial role in achieving this feat by organizing key events and securing funds for the project. The initiative received strong support from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the state government, which facilitated the global acknowledgment of the Maidams' historical significance.
