Christina Hall Calls Ex Josh 'Insecure Man with a Big Ego' amid Divorce

Christina Hall referred to "an insecure man with a large ego" one day after her estranged husband, Josh Hall, returned to social media after he filed for divorce.

While Josh's post was an image of him walking in the woods and a praying hands emoji as the caption, Christina expressed herself in a lengthy statement.

"Over here waiting for the typical Hired PR rep speech of 'how I was blind-sided and how I'm working on myself and taking time to heal at her ranch ............. Meanwhile, I'm over here not as nice and quiet as I used to be .....," her statement, written in white font in front of a black screen, read.

"I have worked my ass off to build this life for myself and my children and anyone who would try and take what they do not deserve/ what they did NOT work for should be ashamed. An insecure man with a large ego can sure try and derail you- but 'still i rise' ...." the statement continued.

The HGTV star ended her post by referencing the topic of divorce.

"For those that aren't aware ... divorces do not happen overnight .. & there is always a breaking point. This one is personal.......," she wrote.

Documents obtained by PEOPLE show that Josh filed for divorce citing "irreconcilable differences" on Monday, July 15, after nearly three years of marriage. He also requested spousal support.

The pair secretly married in a courthouse ceremony on October 2021, and later held another ceremony in Hawaii to celebrate their nuptials in September 2022. Their "date of separation" was listed as July 8, 2024, in the filing.

After news of the divorce broke, an insider told PEOPLE that the couple “had issues in the marriage for quite some time."

Christina's first marriage was to her former Flip or Flop co-star Tarek El Moussa, with whom she shares daughter Taylor, 13, and son Brayden, 8. Her second marriage was with Celebrity IOU: Joyride host Ant Anstead, with whom she shares with son Hudson, 4.

Earlier this week, multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE that Christina was back filming The Flip Off, a show in which Christina and Josh were set to compete in renovating competitions against El Moussa and his new wife, Selling Sunset alum Heather El Moussa — without him.

Tarek has also publicly voiced his support for his ex-wife in an interview with E! News.

"I think life’s tough, s--t happens. I think she’s gonna get through this," he said. "We’re here to support her. We got one shot at life, we gotta do what’s best for us. Whatever she needs, we’re here to help."
