The couple, who met in 2017 on "So You Think You Can Dance" married on July 27
Dancing with the Stars pro Koko Iwasaki is married!
The dancer, 27, wed her longtime love, choreographer and dancer Kiki Nyemchek on Saturday, July 27 at the Crook Point wedding venue in Pistol River, Oregon.
"Kiki and I both wanted outdoor energy for our entire wedding weekend," Iwasaki told Brides, adding that when their wedding planners showed the couple their venue it "felt like a dream."
“I love the mountains and I just knew I wanted to be surrounded by them—and we wanted our family and friends to experience the magic of the Pacific Northwest.” she added.

The couple met while they were both contestants on the popular dance competition show So You Think You Can Dance. Their first kiss was at the end of a salsa routine on the show choreographed by another DWTS pro, Val Chmerkovskiy (who attended the celebration weekend with his wife Jenna Johnson) and their chemistry stayed strong off stage and the rest is history
Nyemchek proposed to Iwasaki in November 2023.
On their big day, Iwasaki told Brides the focus was “Great food, great music, and great quality time."
However, there was a surprising element that the performers deliberately chose to stay relaxed about — their first dance.

"Because we as a couple always perform and choreograph dances for our work, we felt it was more special to truly be in the moment and improvise,” said Iwasaki. “We wanted to not stress about the pressure of performing a routine, so we slow-danced naturally and it was perfect. I just followed Kiki’s lead.”
Iwasaki — who gave PEOPLE exclusive photos of her wedding dress shopping excursion — chose to wear an A-line wedding dress from KYHA, which she told Brides was the "very first dress" she tried on.
"After three days of dress shopping, I had a dream of myself wearing that first KYHA dress. I called first thing in the morning and went to buy it," she added. The dancer paired the dress with a custom veil by Jessica Keife that she helped design.
A lover of DIY — Iwasaki said she also designed her wedding invitations, all signs her guests saw at the wedding, the menus and a selfie mirror that people could take photos in.
Her bouquet, designed by Stella Rose Floral, included white calla lilies surrounded by other textured, white, filler flowers.
There was no first-look moment on Saturday, but the couple decided to meditate together before getting married.
"Kiki and I meditated on the edge of this beautiful cliff. We love meditating and doing breathwork together, so it was only right to add it to our big day,” Iwasaki said. "It was a tender, special, and really impactful moment I’ll remember forever.”
The ceremony was all about love and nature: "We got married with the forest as the backdrop, the ocean off to one side, and our family and friends out in front of us," the TV personality said.

The weekend's festivities also included a private beach party following the rehearsal dinner.
Iwasaki can't wait for the future with her husband. “Being married to Kiki feels like everything in life happened exactly the way it was supposed to,” she told Brides.
"He is my best friend, dance partner, and the love of my life all in one. Loving him is easy and being married to him makes me feel really lucky and giddy inside. It feels exactly right.”
