Iconic 80s actress hasn’t aged a day almost 40 years after playing Bond girl

Alison Doody, the iconic actress who rose to fame in the 1980s, seems to be defying the passage of time.

At 57, she looks more youthful than ever, as evidenced by a recent social media update where she delighted fans with a glimpse into her current life.

The former Bond Girl posted a photo to Instagram posing with her family dog and sharing nostalgic snapshots from her illustrious career.

Doody’s journey to stardom began in the early 1980s when a casting director spotted her potential, leading to her breakthrough role in the James Bond franchise at just 18 years old.

She played Jenny Flex in the 1985 film A View to a Kill, starring alongside Roger Moore. But it was her role as Dr. Elsa Schneider in the 1989 blockbuster Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, opposite Harrison Ford, that cemented her status as a Hollywood star.

In 1991, she became the new face of the global beauty brand L’Oréal, taking over from Cybill Shepherd, further raising her icon status.

Throughout her four-decade career, Alison Doody has amassed an impressive filmography.

She starred in the adventure film King Solomon’s Mines alongside the late Patrick Swayze, among other roles.

In a surprising career move two years ago, Doody made her debut in the Indian film industry with the release of RRR, directed by S.S. Rajamouli.

The film achieved historic success, becoming the first Indian movie to win an Academy Award, among numerous other accolades. Doody’s role in RRR introduced her to a new generation of fans.

Doody shares two children with her ex-husband, Gavin O’Reilly. The former couple once lived in a luxurious 10,000-square-foot sea-view house in Dalkey, Ireland, which was the most expensive home in the country at the time of its purchase.

In 2015, Doody ended her engagement to businessman Tadhg Geary after a year.
