I've been fully committed to tinted moisturizers for years, with Ilia's Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 being my go-to for delivering dewy skin with a side of mineral SPF protection. I have dry, highly-sensitive rosacea skin, so I tend to cling to products that don't trigger flare-ups and stick with them. But on days or nights out when I want more coverage, I realized there was only so much a tinted serum could offer. Searching for a product that combined the skincare benefits of a tinted serum with the coverage of a foundation led me to my latest obsession. The It Cosmetics CC+ Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream ($38, originally $47) evens out my skin while providing plenty of moisture and SPF protection. And best of all, I haven't experienced a single flare-up while using it.
As someone who battled acne as a teen and young adult, I have some residual scarring. Now, stepping into middle age and navigating my rosacea era, I'm dealing with a fresh host of skincare challenges. Applying this product manages to blur my pink flushing, broken capillaries, acne scars, dark circles, and fine lines so well that I've started to reach for it instead of my tinted serum. While other full-coverage foundations I've tried in the past have emphasized my dry skin, making dry patches appear flaky or scaly, my skin looks and feels more nourished with this one. It doesn't leave a caked-on finish, clog my pores, or feel too heavy. I can wear it on a hot day or during low-intensity workouts without it melting off or irritating my skin. I've found that a little goes a long way, especially when I apply it after my moisturizer, but it's also buildable and easy to reapply if I want to freshen up my makeup.

After applying It Cosmetics CC+ Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream
Since I have dry skin, I apply this after my moisturizer and sunscreen. I use two pumps and focus on the places where I want to get the most coverage first (under my eyes, around my nose and mouth, chin, and center of my forehead), then I blend it around my face. While this has SPF, I still prefer to use a separate sunscreen that I apply evenly on my face and neck. That said, the description for the product does mention that it can be used as a moisturizer, anti-aging serum, concealer, and full-coverage foundation, so how and where you apply it and whether you combine it with other products depends on your individual skin type and needs.
When shopping around for a foundation, I noticed that It Cosmetics has a few versions of full-coverage CC+ creams. Aside from this product, they have a CC+ Natural Matte Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream and a CC+ Cream Illumination SPF 50+ Full Coverage Cream Corrector and Serum. Depending on what you're looking for, there are some details that set them apart. For example, if you have combination or oily skin and need shine control, you may want to try the matte option. If you want more of a glowy finish that reflects light, consider the illumination version. The one I chose has a "natural" finish that falls between "matte" and "radiant." The matte version has SPF 40 instead of 50+, like the natural and illumination versions, so that's also worth considering.
The It Cosmetics CC+ Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream is available at Nordstrom, It Cosmetics, Amazon, Sephora, and Ulta.
