Olympics schedule and results: Diving, swimming and gymnastics as Team GB secure two gold medals

The third day of the Olympic Games in Paris is underway with 18 gold medals up for grabs.

Tom Daley and Noah Williams got the day off to a superb start by securing silver in the men’s synchronised 10m platform final. The British duo fell just short of gold with China’s Lian Junjie and Yang Hao turning in a series of flawless dives to claim gold.

Team GB’s wait for a gold medal came to an end with the eventing team securing top spot. Laura Collett, Tom McEwan and Ros Canter, sealed victory in Monday’s final showjumping stage.

Tom Pidcock was another to defend his crown, clinching gold after his incredible comeback culminated in a wild finale in the men’s mountain bike race and he joined the growing list of Team GB medal winners at the Games.

Max Whitlock is seeking to become the first gymnast to win medals on the same apparatus at four successive Olympic Games with Team GB through to the men’s gymnastics final.

And we will also get our first look at Delicious Orie, the super-heavyweight looking to follow in the footsteps of his hero Anthony Joshua as he begins his quest for boxing gold.
