It's the beginning of the end for the Star Wars: High Republic saga. As revealed at the "Star Wars: Stories From a Galaxy Far, Far Away" panel at Comic-Con, Marvel Comics is shifting into the final phase of the High Republic initiative with a new series called Star Wars: The High Republic - Fear of the Jedi.

Fear of the Jedi is written by High Republic veteran Cavan Scott and drawn by artist Marika Cresta (Doctor Aphra).

As Fear of the Jedi opens, the conflict within the Nihil Occlusion Zone is raging out of control, prompting Jedi Master Keeve Trennis to embark on a fateful quest that will change her destiny and the fate of the Jedi Order. The series will tie together characters and elements from many previous High Republic comics, books and audio dramas. It's even slated to guest star the Wookiee Jedi Master Kelnacca, who recently debuted in the Disney+ series The Acolyte.

Star Wars: The High Republic - Fear of the Jedi #1 will be released in February 2025.

Speaking of Kelnacca, Scott and Cresta are also teaming up for a one-shot issue called Star Wars: The Acolyte - Kelnacca #1. Due out on September 4, 2024, this issue will shed more light on the reclusive Jedi's past before the events of The Acolyte.

On the book side of things, Lucasfilm Publishing is prepping an Acolyte prequel of its own called Star Wars: The Acolyte - Wayseeker. This novel by High Republic veteran Justina Ireland centers on Jedi Masters Vernestra Rwoh and Indara. When Master Indara coaxes Master Rwoh away from the Outer Rim and back to Coruscant, both Jedi find themselves grappling with Republic politics and the criminal underworld. Wayseeker is due out on May 6, 2025.

Additionally, author Tessa Gratton is penning an untitled YA novel that ties into The Acolyte. This book stars Jedi Padawans Jecki and Yord, as the two are invited to join a planet-wide coming-of-age ceremony and soon find themselves forced to defend their new friends against an overwhelming threat. This book is due out on July 29, 2025.
